If you’re looking for a program to help you manage your investments, then you are well advised to give Amateur Invest a try. This Simply Data-developed application will help you keep track of investments in a secure, private manner, track bank statements, track profit and loss, and more. You also have access to a quite handy investment advisor and you can set up various types of alarms.

To run Amateur Invest on your computer, it must meet the following minimum system requirements: Pentium 400MHz processor, 128MB of RAM memory, 20MB of free disk space, Windows operating system (anything from Windows 95 up to Windows 7). The Amateur Invest installation process is a simple one: download an executable, run it, click through the setup wizard.

When you launch Amateur Invest, you will be presented with the Help file that provides valuable information about how to use the application and with a First Time prompt that helps you quickly get started with the application. This prompt helps you set the base currency, get the latest security examples, delete unwanted securities, and view demos/screencasts.

Getting accustomed to the application’s interface will not take long. To the left you have a pane with nice big buttons for various functions the application can perform. Also to the left, in the upper left hand corner, there’s a traditional File Menu that also provides easy access to various Amateur Invest features.

Speaking about features, here’s a quick look at Amateur Invest’s main ones: keep track of investments at multiple brokers and banks, keep investments private, get free quotes, track the value of investments, set up alarms, view charts and graphs, there’s a handy investment advisor, track bank accounts, keep your budget in order, and so on.

Amateur Invest is a shareware application. There is no evaluation period limit, but the developer says you should use the application for free for evaluation purposes for a maximum of 30 days. Please note that some functions are not available in the trial version.

Manage your investments and do so in a private manner with a bit of help from the user friendly Amateur Invest application.

Pros

The system requirements for running Amateur Invest are quite low. There’s a detailed and comprehensive Help file. You don’t have to be a professional dealer to use this application. Amateur Invest helps you keep your investments private.
